Microcatheter: From Access Device to Procedural Pathway Management Platform

Publish Time: 2025-05-30     Origin: Site

In the era of precision endovascular therapy, vascular access is no longer just about reaching a target—it’s about managing the entire intravascular route with accuracy, control, and flexibility. Microcatheters have evolved from passive delivery tubes to become active pathway management platforms, enabling clinicians to execute complex interventions with enhanced predictability.

This product series offers a tri-level solution across coronary, peripheral, and super-selective interventions, each category tailored to support distinct strategy layers in lesion navigation, targeted delivery, and procedural optimization.

Three Functional Classes – One Platform, Three Strategies

Coronary Microcatheters

Designed for CTO lesions, bifurcation access, and calcified segments, these models provide enhanced support and guidewire maneuverability through braided shaft reinforcement and PTFE inner lining. Ideal for controlled wire escalation and re-entry techniques.

Peripheral Microcatheters

Engineered for long-segment iliac, renal, or subclavian access, these catheters offer greater inner lumen volume, enhanced torque, and preloaded 0.021” guidewires for faster setup and easier crossing of chronic occlusions.

Super-Selective Microcatheters

Designed for tumor embolization (TACE, BAE), uterine interventions, and tortuous small-caliber arteries, these catheters feature 2.1Fr distal tips and high tip flexibility to enable precise navigation and localized drug or embolic delivery.

Consolidated Technical Specification Table

Category Model Length Distal / Proximal OD Guidewire Compatibility Key Attributes
Coronary MCS02-0 130cm 1.6Fr / 2.3Fr 0.014"–0.016" Radiopaque tip, braided shaft
Coronary MCS03-0 150cm 1.6Fr / 2.3Fr 0.014"–0.016" Radiopaque tip, long reach
Peripheral MCS02-6 130cm 2.8Fr / 3.0Fr 0.021" (preloaded) High lumen flow, guidewire-included
Peripheral MCS03-6 150cm 2.8Fr / 3.0Fr 0.021" (preloaded) Extended access, torque balance
Super-selective MCS02-2 130cm 2.1Fr / 2.3Fr 0.014"–0.017" Tip flexibility, drug precision
Super-selective MCS03-2 150cm 2.1Fr / 2.3Fr 0.014"–0.017" For deep branch embolization

✳️ Additional Notes on Models:

  • MCS02-* models are optimized for standard-length procedures (130cm), including routine coronary or short peripheral access

  • MCS03-* models offer 150cm length for deep access cases, such as SFA recanalization or variant hepatic arteries

  • All models feature PTFE-lined lumens, stainless steel braided shafts, and 0.6mm radiopaque distal markers

  • Peripheral models come preloaded with 0.021" guidewires, minimizing setup time

✳️Strategic Use Cases by Category

  • Coronary: CTO re-entry, bifurcation wire support, retrograde tracking

  • Peripheral: Long lesion contrast mapping, renal/femoral artery crossing

  • Super-selective: TACE, UAE, BAE, distal arterial delivery in microvascular networks

✅ Conclusion: A Platform, Not Just a Catheter

We built this microcatheter portfolio to empower interventional strategy, not just facilitate access. Whether you're navigating a calcified lesion, delivering embolics to a liver segment, or crossing a multi-level occlusion—these catheters are built to act as procedural tools that respond to your planning, not just your hand.
